“When a painting is finished and I am satisfied with colors, expression, patterns, shapes... and I look at it, I am happy.”
Michaela Weiss
I am a sensitive and curious human being, fascinated by colors. So I love to mix them with it’s endless possibilities of varieties. Yet, sometimes it also could be kind of overwhelming and a difficult process of decisions, but the result is worth it. I need something playful, often feeling a little child in me - still.
In general, art for me is not a financial invest for the future. My intention is not to create art, which is hard to grasp. My artwork should please it’s owner. Maybe invite him to touch it and feel the texture and yes, you are allowed to do this! It should be integrated in the all day normal life, bring joy every day, when you look at it, become a friend.
Grown up in a rural area in Bavaria, I am now living in the south of Germany near Heidelberg. Personal reasons led me to another professional path (as well in a creative way), but evolving digitalisation gave me the opportunity to shift my focus on self teaching and find my artistic way.
My paintings are modern and colorful, mostly on linen/cotton canvas, sometimes on paper, but in soft and subtile color combinations. They are made either by painting with highest quality acrylics or in combination with collaging papers, I produce myself.
The contrasts in me are seen in my art. It is a balance between grafic and clean and sometimes an overflow of playful elements. But all in all I like to create them in a print-like and smooth aesthetic.
My latest paintings are made on woodpanels or canvas with the intention to create joy and happy expressions by using grafic shapes and forms and simplifying them more and more.
